serba sedikit tentang cinta

  • It does not make you a bad person to desire someone else's love, even if they do not love you. However, to truly love someone, you must let them be free. It is selfish to blame them for your feelings.
  • There are many types of relationships that involve love, but love itself is a common thread to all those relationships. For example: a mother-son relationship is different from the relationship with a best friend, and both these relationships are different from a romantic relationship. But in each of these relationships, each person loves the other (wants the best for the other). Love this the base of the pyramid. On top of the base, we can add other items such as other common interests (in the case of friends) or sex (in the case of romantic relationships). Therefore, relationships can grow and evolve but the love itself is solid and constant. It does not change.
  • Don't be ashamed to tell anyone that you love your friends as much as you love anyone else in your life.
  • You have to find someone that will suit you, someone you feel comfortable with - not just someone to make love to.
  • Sometimes love is all we need. As a word, love can be found worldwide and is often used to describe compassion and/or emotional attachment. Sometimes love songs do not accurately describe love, but rather, the absence of love, hence the sad tone of some romantic songs.
  • Accepting those you love for who they are is part of love. You also need to learn to accept yourself before you can accept another. If you cannot love yourself, how are you to love another?
  • Love genuinely. Do not compare your feelings now to what your feelings were when you were with another mate. At times, we can experience rejection.
  • Realize that love is a feeling that can describe and attempt to assist, but ultimately, you are the one who must take action in order to discover love.
  • Do things that make the other person feel good and happy, but do not smother them with gifts and attention.
  • Remember there is no failure in love, because once you tell somebody whom you love, that you love him/her, then you have already succeeded in love.

How to Love

Love is both an action and a feeling. The action of love generates a blissful feeling called by the same name. When the action stops, the blissful feeling is replaced with pain. Every person is capable of great love (and its opposite, fear, which generates all painful emotions such as hate, greed and jealousy).

While there are many different ways to define love and there are many different ways to love someone (or even yourself), here is a general guide to loving.

Steps

1. Say it. When you say the words "I Love You", they should carry with them the desire to show someone that you love them, not what you simply want to feel. When you say it, make sure you really mean it and are willing to do anything for that special person.

2. Empathize. Put yourself in someone else's shoes. Rather than impose your own expectations or attempt to control them, to understand how they feel, where they come from, and who they are. Realize how they could also love you back just as well.

3. Love unconditionally. If you cannot love another person without attaching stipulations, then it is not love at all, but deep-seated opportunism (one who makes the most of an advantage, often unmindful of others). If your interest is not in the other person as such, but rather in how that person can enhance your experience of life, then it is not unconditional. If you have no intention of improving that person’s life, or allowing that person to be themselves and accepting them as they are, and not who you want them to be, then you are not striving to love them unconditionally.

 4. Expect nothing in return. That doesn't mean you should allow someone to mistreat or undervalue you. It means that giving love does not guarantee receiving love. Try loving just for the sake of love. Realize that someone may have a different way of showing his or her love for you; do not expect to be loved back in exactly the same way.

 5. Realize it can be lost. If you realize that you can lose the one you love, then you have a greater appreciation of what you have. Think how lucky you are to have someone to love. Don't make an idol of the person you love. This will place them under undue pressure and will likely result in you losing them.

 6. Never stop loving. Even if you have been hurt before you should not stop giving love.

love letter

"There is only one situation that I can think of in which men and women make an effort to read better than they usually do. When they are in love and reading a love letter, they read for all they are worth. They read every word three ways; they read between the lines and in the margins... Then, if never before or after, they read."
~ Mortimer J. Adler (b. 1902)

She (Tous Les Visages de L'Amour) Elvis Costello - from Notting Hill Soundtrack Written by Charles Aznavour and Herbert Kretzmer

the song start at minute 1.50, so layan dulu babak akhir filem ni k :) so romantik

She may be the face I can't forget
The trace of pleasure or regret
Maybe my treasure or the price I have to pay
She may be the song that summer sings
May be the chill that autumn brings
May be a hundred different things
Within the measure of a day

She may be the beauty or the beast
May be the famine or the feast
May turn each day into a Heaven or a Hell
She may be the mirror of my dreams
A smile reflected in a stream
She may not be what she may seem
Inside her shell....

She, who always seems so happy in a crowd
Whose eyes can be so private and so proud
No one's allowed to see them when they cry
She maybe the love that cannot hope to last
May come to me from shadows in the past
That I remember 'till the day I die

She maybe the reason I survive
The why and wherefore I'm alive
The one I care for through the rough and ready years

Me, I'll take the laughter and her tears
And make them all my souvenirs
For where she goes I've got to be
The meaning of my life is
She....She
Oh, she....

Toi, sois mon espoir, sois mon destin
J'ai si peur de mes lendemains
Montre à mon âme sans secours
Tous les visages de l'amour
Toi ! tous les visages de l'amour

Unconditional Love

"Yes, it may be true you're not doing
things my way, yet I love you,
I honor the good in you,
and I want the best for you, just the same."

"The love of a person implies not
the possession of that person,
but the affirmation
of that person
in all their uniqueness"

"Those whose perception of others is
unconditionally loving will receive
unconditional love,
enough for themselves
and to give to others."

"Everyone, at any given time,
is doing the very best they can with what they have.
When people learn better they do better."

just be yourself

"I love you as you are, as you seek to find your own special way to relate to the world, or the way you feel that is right for you. It is important that you are the person you want to be and not someone that I or others think you should be."

The 5 Love Languages

What if you could say or do just the right thing guaranteed to make that special someone feel loved? The secret is learning the right love language! Millions of couples have learned the simple way to express their feelings and bring joy back into marriage: The 5 Love Languages, Dr. Gary Chapman’s New York Times bestseller! Words of Affirmation—Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” are important—hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.

  • Words of Affirmation
Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” are important—hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.
  • Quality Time
In the vernacular of Quality Time, nothing says, “I love you,” like full, undivided attention. Being there for this type of person is critical, but really being there—with the TV off, fork and knife down, and all chores and tasks on standby—makes your significant other feel truly special and loved. Distractions, postponed dates, or the failure to listen can be especially hurtful.
  • Receiving Gifts
Don’t mistake this love language for materialism; the receiver of gifts thrives on the love, thoughtfulness, and effort behind the gift. If you speak this language, the perfect gift or gesture shows that you are known, you are cared for, and you are prized above whatever was sacrificed to bring the gift to you. A missed birthday, anniversary, or a hasty, thoughtless gift would be disastrous—so would the absence of everyday gestures.
  • Acts of Service
Can vacuuming the floors really be an expression of love? Absolutely! Anything you do to ease the burden of responsibilities weighing on an “Acts of Service” person will speak volumes. The words he or she most want to hear: “Let me do that for you.” Laziness, broken commitments, and making more work for them tell speakers of this language their feelings don’t matter.
  • Physical Touch
This language isn’t all about the bedroom. A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, holding hands, and thoughtful touches on the arm, shoulder, or face—they can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive.

This is for the broken hearted.

I know how you feel. Empty, betrayed, and no happiness whatsoever. You don't want to laugh, because you know it's not going to help, but you don't want to cry, because it will just make you feel worse. You feel like your heart is falling apart, but not only that, but you know soon your life is going to feel like it's falling apart too. You don't think it will ever end, and no matter what this person has done to you, it feels impossible to stop loving them. And everyone wonders why if they have hurt you so much, then why do you still love them. That's the confusing part, you don't know why, you just do, and the people who hurt you the most, and normally the ones you love the most. And then, after a few weeks, you finally feel a sense of relief, like you're getting happy again, but you know inside that you're just going into denial. And after a few more weeks, you're back to where you were an empty soul and teary eyes. You thought you got over them, but really, you just stopped showing it. And you can't help but to show it again. It leaves deep scars on your heart that are there forever. And no one understands how you feel, and how deep you are hurt, no matter who they are, because it hasn't happened to them And even if it has, every broken heart is different. They don't know the true pain you feel and carry each and everyday now, so you learn that basically you are alone with all this. And the feeling starts to overwhelm you, and suddenly you just break down, right there, because you know you've had enough, the tears just instantly start flowing, and you're to the point where you don't care who see's. Because you've spent so many nights lying awake in bed, and so many days being haunted by the scars and fear of rejection. And in the midst of all these tears, you know that its not helping any, and it's not going to bring them back, if you ever even had them in the first place. After about a million tears have been cried, you finally pull yourself back together and keep going. Your throat starts to clench and your eyes burn with the tears you are trying to hold back. Everyone says, "It will be okay…” But you know it won't. And that’s the truth, it won’t. And you look back on all of the hurt you had from this, and you realize that people are horrible. You're still hurt, but you've learned to hide it so that everyone thinks you are okay. So now every time you see this person, you know you still love them, and you feel a slight tingle in your heart yearning for them to love you, screaming out, but for some reason they don't hear it. And then you sit back and wonder how one person could have caused all of this...

kekasih gelapku :(

Life is for having fun. Don't be stupid and waste it on some guy/girl who is gonna act like he/she hates you tomorrow. Never waste it on some one who doesn't want their friends to know they're in love with you. Don't give that person the rest of you tears or a month or a year of your life when he/she treats you badly and doesn't mind to make you cry. Every person deserves some one who wants to brag about them. Every person deserves some one who makes them smile and laugh at their worst moments. We all deserve at least that.

How To Know You're In Love

If you think you might be in love, read this article to check if it's the Real Thing. Use it to determine if you really are in love, and how long this feeling will last.
1.     Step 1: Early Symptoms
In the first flush of love, you will want to know everything about your partner.
Who he is,
What she thinks,
What makes him laugh.
You feel bad when she feels bad. You want to cheer her up because you can't help it, not because you feel you ought to.
You can't remember what you ever saw in your ex, and even being near them feels like a betrayal of your new love.
And you don't notice beautiful girls throwing themselves at you.
2.     Step 2: Hazards
If you're in love, the physical safety of you and those around you may be at risk.
Watch out for hazards such as:
An inability to perform even the simplest of tasks.
Not being to able to concentrate on any job you've been given.
And not noticing anything or anyone around you.

When you're apart, you may find that you can't stop thinking about her, as soon as you wake up and before you go to bed. She pops into your head for no reason, and you keep wondering what she's up to.
And, just occasionally, you let your imagination run away with you.
3.     Step 3: Movie Love
It feels like you're in a movie. But this movie has a romantic beginning, middle and end. There is no iceberg. It's going to be happily ever after, forever and ever. It's happening to you, and it's REAL.
So don't worry, there's no danger of a camera crew stopping the action and interfering just at the wrong moment.
4.     Step 4: Ignoring the negatives
No one's perfect, and you know this about your new love. But you find those quirks of his charming. You're willing to put up with her boring family.
You love spending time with her, regardless of what you're doing. And you don't mind compromising or missing other nights out.
5.     Step 5: Will it last?
It's looking good so far… but will those feelings fade with time? It may be impossible to predict the future, but you can ask yourself a few key questions:
Can you be yourself with her?
Does he still love you when you're at your worst?
Does she make you feel good about yourself?
Do you find that you don't need to test his loyalty?
Would you feel the same if she got fat?
Or he was destitute?
If most of the answers are yes, it sounds like love.

What do you do if it's not yet too late?

In your life, you'll make note of a lot of people.
Ones with whom you shared something special,
ones who will always mean something.

There's the one you first kissed,
the one you first loved, the one you lost your virginity to,
the one you put on a pedestal, the one you're with,
and the one that got away..

Who is the one that got away?
I guess it's that person with whom everything was great,
everything was perfect, but the timing was just wrong.

There was no fault in the person,
there was no flaw in the chemistry,
but the cards just didn't fall the right way, I suppose.

I believe in the fact that ending up with someone,
finding a longtime partner that is,
does not lie merely in the other person.

I can actually argue that an equal part,
or maybe even the greater part,
has to do with the matter of timing.

It has to do with you being ready to settle down and
commit to someone in a way that goes beyond the little
niceties of giddy romance.

How often have you gone through it without even realizing it?
When you're not ready to commit in that mature manner,
it doesn't matter whom you're with,
it just doesn't work.

Small problems become big;
inconsequentials become dealbreakers
simply because you're not ready and it shows.

It's not that you and the person you're with are no good;
it's just that it's not yet right,
and little things become the flashpoint of that fact.

Then one day you're ready.
You really are.
And when this happens you'll be ready to settle down
with someone.

He or she may not be the most perfect,
they might not be the brightest stars of romance to
ever have burned in your life,
but it'll work because you're ready.

It'll work because it's the right time and you'll make it work.
And it will make sense, it really will.

So that day comes when you're finally making sense of things,
and you find yourself to be a different person.

Things are different, your approach is different,
you finally understand who you are and what you want,
and you've become ready because the time has truly
arrived.

And mind you, there's no telling when this day will come.
Hopefully you're single but you could be in a long-term relationship,
you could be married with three kids,
it doesn't matter.

All you know is that you've changed, and for some reason,
the one that got away, is the person you think about.

You'll think about them because you'll wonder,
"What if they were here today?"
You'll wonder,
"What if we were together now, with me as I am and not as I was?"

That's what the one that got away is.

The biggest "What if?" you'll have in your life.
 If you're married,
you'll just have to accept the fact that the one that
got away, got away.

Believe me, no matter how fairy tale you think your
marriage is,
this can happen to the best of us.

But hopefully you're mature enough to realize that
you're already with the one you're with
and this is just another test of your commitment,
one which will just strengthen your marriage when you
get past it.

Sure, you'll think about him/her every so often, but it's alright.
It's never nice to live with a "might have been,"but it happens.

Maybe the one that got away is the one who is already married.
In which case it's the same thing.

You just have to accept and know that your memories of that person
will probably bring a nice little smile to your lips
in the future,
when you're old and gray and reminiscing.

But if neither of that is the case, then it's different.
What do you do if it's not yet too late?

Simple....
Find him, find her.

Because the very existence of a "one that got away"
means that you'll always wonder,
what if you got that one?
Ask him out to coffee, ask her out to a movie,
it doesn't matter if you've dropped in from nowhere.

You'd be surprised,
you just might be the "one that got away" as well for
the person who is your "the one that got away".

You might drop in from out of nowhere and it wont make
a difference.

If the timing is finally right,
it will all just fall into place somehow and you know.

I'm thinking, it would be a great feeling, in the end,to be able to say to someone,
"Hey you! You're the one that almost got away".

"it is only with the heart one can see rightly.
What is essential is invisible to the eye."
